Ready to lock in your senior portrait date? Yay! Once you have selected your date and paid for your package, you will receive access to your Client Portal where you can fill out your Senior Questionnaire, and find everything you need to know about what to wear, how to prep and what to expect. Your questionnaire will give me all the insight I need to know more about you and your vision for your senior session, so that I can customize it just for you!

It's shoot day!

The fun begins! After working together to choose the perfect location and plan out the details of your session, we will meet on-location to begin your 1.5 - 2 hour senior portrait experience-traveling to our 1 - 2 locations. About a week prior to our session, I will help you finalize your 3 -4 outfit choices and help you decide where you'd like to photograph each one. I will pose you and guide you throughout the entire session - no modeling experience necessary! Your only job is to have fun, take lots of behind the scene pics (yes moms-you can take as my phone pics as you'd like) and enjoy your day!

Within a week from your senior session, I will share a social media sneak peek (that you personally choose & approve) for you to see and share! Bonus: if you share your sneak peek on your own stories-you'll receive 5 free images in addition to your package-who doesn't love free images! A week or two later, you will receive your senior portrait online gallery showcasing 80-90 of my favorite images from your session. I pride myself on reasonable turnarounds times - I'll never make you wait months to see your photos!!!

After 2-3 weeks (from your session), your full online gallery will be delivered with over 80-90 beautiful images from your session! Here, you will able to select YOUR favorite images in which I will then retouch to have "perfect skin" & manage any flyaways. You will then be able to download, share and make prints directly from your gallery, which is also mobile-friendly. And, even better? Your gallery will be backed up online - so you don't even have to worry about losing your images! The hardest part will be choosing your weekly #seniorsunday post.

Every spring, during the month of May - I photograph Cap & Gown Sessions for friend groups for an additional session fee that is usually split between the girls. This fun & celebratory session includes both group & individual pictures at a special location such as a school, Cranbrook or DIA.  These sessions are usually booked in the spring.

what about guy sessions?!

Because the majority of my clients are in fact girls, some might think that I don't photograph guys! Truth is–I love my guy sessions just as much, and I have even designed a package just for them! (It's half the time, and they will thank us both!

Senior Portrait Experience for guys is $750:
includes 1 hr of shooting time, 1-3 outfits & 1-2 locations (whatever they will allow us to do!)

Michigan summers are wonderful, but they can also be hot, humid & wet! I will confirm the weather  with you 24 hours in advance. If it looks like terrible, we will reschedule for another day–usually during the same week (Saturday or Sunday). If the weather looks iffy, we will go forward with our session and pray for the best–if any part of our session gets rained out, we will simply redo the outfits we didn't get in another day. I will also reschedule a session if the temps are above 93 degrees.

Frequently asked questions

NEXT FAQ >

I have photographed in the Birmingham area now for over 20 years and know all the best spots with not only great views, but with the best lighting (which is SOOO important)! That is why I only shoot at my recommend locations. After booking, you will receive a link to your Client Portal which will go over locations in details and help you choose the best ones for your style and outfits. All my premier locations (Cranbrook, Meadowbrook, Fair Isle) are an additional fee, but I offer plenty of beautiful locations that don't cost a thing!

2. How do we choose locations!?

Frequently asked questions

NEXT FAQ >

Such a good question, and an important one to get right! I LOVE dresses...so most of the images you see me post are just that! It's beautiful and classic.  Shortly after booking, you will receive a link to your Client Portal–which will give you a ton of outfit ideas. Another great place for inspiration is my Instagram page.  Generally, I have 3 favorite outfits to recommend: a classic: the white dress; a second dress; and a pant outfit: white jeans & blouse or jeans and a tank.

3. What outfits should I bring!?

Frequently asked questions

NEXT FAQ >

I would say about half of all my sessions get either their hair or makeup or both done. If you think that would make your day feel special...then book away! The only downside to making appointments is the weather. If we have to move your session because of rain, it could add extra stress.  So sometimes a mom, sister or friend who is really good at hair & make up is the best of all. If you need recommendations, look to your Client Portal after you book your date.

4. Should I get hair & makeup appts?

Frequently asked questions

NEXT FAQ >

Absolutely! I encourage you to bring who ever is important to you–your mom, sister, best friend, etc. They are wonderful to have with you to help carry your outfits, assist with your hair & makeup, and help bring all the moral support you need! They can even jump in a shot with you at the end (or I can take a pic of you both on your phone). In my eyes, the more the merrier!

5. Can I bring someone with me!?

Frequently asked questions

As of 2025, I no longer offer mini sessions.  I have one "girl session" option and a one "guy session" option; and add-ons are available for both. If you have twins or triplets, I do have a special session just for that. Starting in 2026, I will be offering mini sessions again, but will be taken with an associate photographer.
